It’s even prettier than the sedan. I mean, look at that side profile !

And the interior is still awesome.

It comes with Peugeot’s i-Cockpit with the gorgeous screen in place of the gauges. I had a rental 3008 with it recently, and it is a joy to use. I find it much better done than Audi’s (especially the navigation part). Peugeot uses monochrome graphics : the map uses a mix of dark hues, all of which look great and are not distracting. On top of that it looks very well integrated. Also copper-colored gauges and the RPM gauge is inversed (à la Aston Martin).

It will be offered with Peugeot’s 6-speed manual or the new 8-speed auto. With a variety of diesel engines (starting with the new 1.5L HDI unit) from 130hp to 180hp and with two flavours of petrol engines delivering either 180hp or 225hp.

Love it, that rear 3/4 is fantastic, especially the lights.

Think I’ll move to Europe, they offer way nicer cars than we get here! Also, way more manuals!

IT’s starting to shift (pun intended) towards more automatics. At least European manufacturers don’t do CVTs unlike the Asians.

I’m not a big fan of the DRLs going down the front bumper.

That 508 on the bonnet looks like a pimple.

Kinja'd!!!

There’s just some cars you can’t put Land Rover style lettering on.

That’s the only thing I’m not a fan of on this car...

Actually, it’s a callback to Peugeot’s history, especially to the 504 coupé

Well that turns it to acceptable. Subtle retro callbacks always gets a pass from me.

I still think it looks ugly.

Originally I thought it was chromed plastic which was bad enough but DRLs, that’s just nope.

It’s nice that some make an effort, while others don’t make any affort at all.

Like the Clio. I imagine someone at Renault said, ‘Hey, these DRLs are becoming quite a thing. Can someone look on eBay and and get a load of short strips of LEDs and we’ll stick them on the car somewhere, oh, yeah, the grille slats would work I guess’.

Peugeot and Renault are KILLING IT with their interiors the last few years. They look completely out of this world, which is very french. The Scenic and the bigger one are fantastic, they have these crazy LEDs running all over the place and everythign feels premium and tight, yet comfy.

I sat in the 508 sedan a few months ago and it’s brilliant. You’d think the gauge cluster OVER the steering wheel would be silly, but it’s actually very natural and easy to see, it’s just under the windshield and always in sight.

Great stuff, the wagon looks great, too. I hope it does well.
